Classic Wine Storage

When the facility was being designed, the temperature, humidity and security were taken into consideration to ensure your collection is stored in the optimal conditions. In the locker area there are two cooling units; one would have been enough based on the load analysis but we opted to go with two for redundancy purposes. There are six ceiling mounted evaporator coils constantly operating to ensure proper air flow throughout the locker area. To maintain the proper humidity levels there are two Herrtronic self generating electronic steam humidifiers; these units allow us to precisely set the desired humidity level.

The walls and ceiling of the locker area are the same material found in restaurant cold rooms and meat lockers (the shiny walls). On each side is a hard shell with 4'' of insulation in-between; this type of coating does a remarkable job at maintaining the temperature and humidity (is designed to hold a temp down to -32 F). The walls and ceiling are periodically wiped down to keep the locker area clean and mold/mildew free.

While power outages are not common at the facility unexpected storms or heat waves triggering rolling blackouts could possibly leave us without power for an extended time. For these situations we have purchased a 25kW natural gas generator. The generator automatically starts and keeps all systems operating if the building loses power. Once power has been restored to the building for 10 minutes without interruption the switch will be made back to the regular power supply.

The facility has state-of-the art security and fire suppression systems in place with 24/7 monitoring. Multiple video cameras are constantly monitoring the facility along with motion and glass break detectors. To access the facility each client will use their assigned key fob.
